 Professor of Japanese language, history and culture. Member of the Japanese Studies Center of the University of Guadalajara. Obtained a MA in Social Sciences and a PhD in Political Science from the University of Guadalajara. Areas of interest: Japanese International Relations and Foreign Policy, Japanese Economic and Military Security in the Indo-Pacific. Line of Research at Master on GP&TPS: Japan.

 El Centro de Estudios Japoneses (CEJA) ha sido creado con una visión bicultural y multidisciplinaria. Los tres ejes del Centro son 1) Investigación sobre varias áreas científicas relacionadas con Japón, 2) Docencia de lengua y cultura japonesa y 3) Vinculación con las instituciones y otras entidades interesadas en Japón, nacionales e internacionales, y difusión de los conocimientos en México.

 Nuestra misión principal es contribuir no solo a la comunidad universitaria, sino también a la sociedad mexicana a través de compartir los conocimientos, prácticas y valores de los japoneses, y de manera específica a los vínculos y amistad entre México y Japón.

PhD. Takako Nakasone

 Founding member of the Center for Japanese Studies (CEJA) at the Department of Pacific Studies in the University Center for Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Guadalajara. MA in Communication at University of Guadalajara Masters Thesis: "Positions on the conservation and use of native languages in distinction” and PHD in Sociology at University of Guadalajara Doctoral Thesis: "Japanese immigrants in Guadalajara (1970-2011)" Areas of interest: Japanese migration to Guadalajara, Intercultural communication and Japanese language education. Miguel Ángel Sigala Gómez

 Professor-Researcher at the Department of Pacific Studies of the University Center of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Guadalajara and Member of the Center for North American Studies. He received his Master in Social Sciences with specialization in International Relations and Pacific Studies from the University of Guadalajara.

Ligia Ibarra González

Professor in the Department of International Studies of the Methodological and Economics Axis. She obtained a Master's Degree in Social Sciences with a specialty in International Relations and Pacific from the University of Guadalajara and a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies from the University of Guadalajara.

She currently coordinates the Master's Degree in Global Politics and Transparency Studies (GP&TPS).
